David Russell founded Action Air Conditioning of Tampa Bay in 1988. Initially the company was small and concentrated most of it’s resources in the residential replacement market. In 1990 David joined forces with Frank Lipp, his senior advisor. Mr. Lipp was born shortly after the turn of the century and brought to Action Air 50 years of experience.

Mr. Lipp owned a very successful dealership in New York for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Tampa. Mr. Lipp was trained by William Carrier, the inventor of air conditioning systems. At the young age of 74 Mr. Lipp was able to share his knowledge and experience with David, allowing his business to thrive and prosper.

In 1993 David made his decision to sell only the best products that were energy efficient and offered the best warranties. Since making that commitment, business has quadrupled and Action Air Conditioning has become the number one Trane dealer in the Tampa Bay area promoting the Trane Florida Comfort System!

Action Air has taken advantage of every consulting and training program the Trane Company has had to offer. Having concentrated on selling the best, Action Air has won numerous awards and has received National recognition for outstanding performance.
